After School Workouts – We are providing opportunities for our student-athletes to improve, regardless of the sports they participate in.   By attending our workouts which are run by an online program called PLT4M, our student-athletes are at a huge advantage over others their age at surrounding schools.  However, the only way we can gain this advantage is by using it!   Workouts are on Monday (Weight Room), Tuesday (Speed and Agility), Thursday (Speed and Agility), and Friday (Weight Room) from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.   Building a strong work-ethic will not only help them in athletics, but also in school and in life!

Middle School Boys Basketball Open Gyms – We want to offer an opportunity for our middle school boys’ basketball players to continue to work on the skills needed to be successful.  We are planning on opening the middle school gym on the following dates Tuesday, February 26; Thursday, February 28; Tuesday, March 5; Tuesday, March 7; Tuesday, March 12; Thursday, March 14; Tuesday, March 19; Thursday, March 21; and Tuesday, March 26 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Each session will start with 45 minutes of skill work.

Girls Softball - Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing softball this spring.  The Kent City softball program and Kent City athletics  is exploring the possibility of starting a 7th and 8th grade club softball team which will start in March and conclude in June.  Since this is a club team, there will be a cost associated with being on the team, plus student-athletes will have to provide their own game pants and purchase a baseball hat.  Also, the school will not provide transportation to and from games. If your student-athlete is interested in joining the team, please have her sign up in the Middle School Office by Wednesday, February 20, 2019.   Any questions can be directed to Mr. Jason Vogel -- Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at jason.vogel@kentcityschools.org.
